Richard C. Dieter is former executive director of the Death Penalty Information Center. He has authored 40 reports on the death penalty, the most recent of which, Battle Scars: Military Veterans and the Death Penalty, received the Congressional Black Caucus’s Veterans Braintrust Award. He founded the Pre-Trial Release Program at the Community for Creative Non-violence and currently serves on the boards of Witness to Innocence and the Capital Punishment Research Initiative.

Marquette University

John McAdams is associate professor of political science at Marquette University. His research interests include congressional elections, social class and politics, the New Class, and the death penalty. He has been published in the American Journal of Political Science, the Journal of Politics, Sociological Quarterly, and Law and Contemporary Problems. He is the author of JFK Assassination Logic: How to Think about Claims of Conspiracy.
