Green, Libertarian presidential candidates meet up

Presidential candidates Darryl Perry of the Libertarian Party and Sedinam Kinamo Christin Moyowasifza-Curry of the Green Party recently took part in PublicSquare.net’s 2016 Presidential Debate Series.

You’d think that, with candidates on the far right and far left, there would be lots of acrimony, with each side calling the other dangerous for the country, right?

Nope. They actually met for dinner the next day.

Perry and Moyowasifza-Curry, while having substantial disagreements on most policy issues, emerged from the debate with a healthy respect for each other. “I believe the debate between Sedinam and I showed that Libertarians and Greens have more in common than many believe,” Perry said. “Though Sedinam and I do have disagreements on some issues, I believe we have a mutual respect for one another–i.e. though we disagree, we are not disagreeable.”

Moyowasifza-Curry agreed. “The PublicSquare.net one-on-one debate format is a must!” she said. “As Americans it is our individual duty to establish a more perfect blueprint for our national agenda to be set by a healthy exchange and debates.”

The debate will air in early March. A previous episode in the series can be found here, and more episodes are in the works.
