The United States and Taiwan recently agreed on a $6.4 billion arms package, the latest arms deal between both nations and the first under the Obama administration. China's reaction was, unsurprisingly, very negative. Considering that China tops the US government foreign creditor list, was the arms sale a mistake?

Question: Is the US-Taiwan arms deal a threat to Sino-American relations?
