Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu just announced Israel's decision to build a wall along the border with Egypt, which should be completed in the next two years. It is believed that the wall is an attempt to deal with three key issues: the wave of illegal laborers that are trying to infiltrate Israel via its southern border; security threats; and smuggling. However, this will also mean that Israeli borders will be even more surrounded by fences.

Question: Is Israel's recent decision to build a wall along the border with Egypt likely to improve or worsen the situation in the region?
