Conservatives say he's ruining the country, progressives say he's not getting anything done, and some say he just needs more time, pointing to the early failures and low approval ratings of the Clinton and second Bush administrations as proof that the first year in office is always a difficult time for a president.
So, relative to other recent administrations, has Obama had a successful first year in office?
