Melissa Hart is director of the Byron R. White Center for the Study of American Constitutional Law. She clerked for Judge Guido Calabresi of the Second Circuit and for Justice John Paul Stevens on the United States Supreme Court. She runs the Colorado Law School chapter of the Marshall-Brennan Constitutional Literacy Project. She serves on the Colorado Access to Justice Commission and the Colorado Supreme Court's Judicial Ethics Advisory Committee and Board of Continuing Judicial and Legal Education. She is former president of the American Association of Law Schools Section on Civil Rights.

Ilya Somin is professor of law at George Mason University School of Law. He is the author of The Grasping Hand: Kelo v. City of New London and the Limits of Eminent Domain and Democracy and Political Ignorance: Why Smaller Government is Smarter and coauthor of A Conspiracy Against Obamacare: The Volokh Conspiracy and the Health Care Case. Somin’s work has appeared in numerous scholarly journals and popular press outlets. He writes regularly for the popular Volokh Conspiracy blog and has served as co-editor of the Supreme Court Economic Review.
